Gidday, This plugin works very well. However I've had a few people go thru to PayPal via the checkout_payment.php and the discount is not applied.

They input the code but then click the [Continue Checkout] the cogs spin but the code does not register before heading off to PayPal. So no green tick.

To register the code correctly you can click any where (except continue checkout and the code is then updated with a tick or cross.

Whats not clear to the customer is that it needs to update before [Continue to Checkout]

Either a [Submit] button needs to be added next to the code input box (literally doing nothing but updating the page)or the field needs to be dynamic in updating or a no-discount default in the box to ensure people think and making the submit button Required on this page.

Also a suggestion. The size of the box is quite small on mobile devices and easily missed maybe the text could be in RED or the box size increased so its not so easily missed.

Thank you for your report.
I'll consider a fix for the next update.
However you could combine the discount code with the ship in cart addon and use at least the order total module.
Then you can offer the discount code module in the shopping cart.
Like this it would work together with the express checkout button in the cart.
The cart discount module has already an apply button. Then you could remove the discount module in checkout_payment.php.
Strange that no one else has reported this issue. Discount code is widely in use since years in many shops.
