Shipping Calculations - One-Time Checkout Offer

Shipping Calculations

Hi,

This addon looks like a great addition for upselling so Thank You :)

I have not tried it yet, but would I be right in thinking that if a shop calculates shipping by weight, when an offer is accepted and added to the basket that the shipping recalculates on the cumulative weight?

I have some very large items that have service packs as cross sell items (now these would ship together on a pallet if selected). Now if the customer selected the one time offer of a service pack, the cumulative weight would take them into the next shipping tier which may cause "checkout shock" and prompt them to remove the offer item, or worse abandon their cart altogether.

Is there a way to give an option to give the offer item zero weight for shipping calculations thus avoiding this?

Thank You :)

Thank you for the kind words.

The add-on does not touch anything to do with shipping apart from recalculate from the existing shipping modules used. I would presume but not tried that you would need to have per product shipping rules.

Try the add-on and see what it does
