Is it possible to remove the radio select buttons from near the price. A very small number of my customers think that when they click on one of those and select a shipping option it will stay selected when they change pages to the next page of the checkout. As the module is only showing the available shipping prices, does the select option need to be there.

The selection should be passed to the next page checkout shipping. If not there is something wrong in your installation. If you remove the radios and selection script, the order totals wouldn’t be updated with the selected shipping cost.

But they would only have to select the options on the next page as if the shipping estimator was not there soi it will make very little difference to the actual checkout process.

The difference is to show shipping and total cost already on the shopping cart page even they have not created an account or are not logged in. It’s also important for PayPal express checkout which pypasses the whole checkout until checkout confirmation.
Although the best performance is with my 2 page checkout Addon which pypasses the core checkout shipping page.
