Re: Hook Addons

This hook adds the search and go to input boxes back to the categories/products page. I didn't like the search icon that was added to this page and resulted in an extra click. The hook also sets the search field active so you can search for an item without having to click on it either. This image sh...

Re: Soooo Quiet in Here

I've been hanging around here since 2007 when I first install oSC to use for my ecommerce site. I'm a shop owner and also like to do a little coding just for the fun of it. In that regard, I know just enough to be dangerous.

Re: Hooks Example

I back ported this hook for my older 1.0.8.20 site. If differs from the 1.1.06 version in a number of ways but I won't bore you with the details....if anyone whats to use either of the versions and would also like the report page that it links to, to show customers who purchased a particular product...

Re: Near Instant Alerts if your shop goes down (Would you use this?)

FWIW, years ago I used an outside service that would periodically test my site and report whether it was down and out. I can't recall the name of the service and it wasn't instant....it would query the site every 5 or 10 minutes or so and send an email whenever there was a failure.

Re: Recover Cart Sales (RCS) Module for Phoenix Cart 1.1.0.6 Testing

But honestly, I'm not sure the version number is the real issue. Even if we had a hundred people on 1.1.0.6, would they test? The silence Heathers getting suggests the problem isn't compatibility - it's that people aren't stepping up to help, regardless of what they're running. burt You are probabl...

Re: Recover Cart Sales (RCS) Module for Phoenix Cart 1.1.0.6 Testing

Don't be disheartened; it is increasingly difficult to get interest in much of anything. I think it's a combination of core Phoenix being solid, people being busy, and more or less a consumer mindset rather than a stakeholder mindset. When I see this sort of thing, I always wonder if there are suff...

Re: Core Update Schedule frequency

burt Gary I haven't bothered to comment on this thread since it seems to me that if we have upgrade software, like what BrockleyJohn is developing, then releasing any PhoenixCart Core Updates and Bug Fixes should be left to the developers to handle at a frequency and time that is convenient for the...
