Re: Soooo Quiet in Here
Been here since the beginning. Contributed a lot to ideas for modules that are now part of core and still occasionally have a few ideas. Have updated my site from what was oscommerce, through the old community versions and have been using phoenix for years, and am currently upgrading my site from 1....

Re: Search customers by firstname and lastname
Thanks Gary for pointing me in the right direction. One small change and seems to work but with a few odd quirks, but nothing serious. As we have searching set in Postcode, Town, Phone and email it gives some funny results but its better than what it was doing and can find something like David Smith...

Search customers by firstname and lastname
Is it possible though installing one of the customer modules so that in admin - customers its possible to search for a customer called David Smith so search for both First and last names. Currently nothing is found as I understand that's the way that the search works. The only way I can find how to ...

Re: Hypothetical Question - Addons
HI Mort_Lemur You are dead right. I do believe that with the paid for payment modules from BrockleyJohn as far as I am aware you can get free downloads once you have purchased the addon as there are no limits set to most of the files. As the file name does not change in theory I believe you can get ...

Always having to login during checkout even though already logged in.
This may be something I have done so thought I would check first that I have not missed anything is setting up my test store. I login to my test website, add things into the basket and when clicking on the checkout button in the basket I am redirected to the login page. I do have the setting in admi...

Re: Shared Hosting Nightmare
We had a similar problem a few months back and were getting hit really hard from AI bots and scrapers. facebook was the worse. We were getting 503 lack or resources errors and were told to try Cloudflare by our hosts. We tried cloudflare and after about 3 weeks the problem was still there. Cloudflai...

Re: Best way to transfer database from live site to new test site
I'm burying myself in admin side changes, because the thought of transferring my OSC 2.3.4 site that has been running since 2011 to Phoenix 1.1.0.6 terrifies me.... getting cold sweats just thinking about it! - quick, back to admin mods.... I was like that a few years ago when I transferred my OSC2...

Re: Best way to transfer database from live site to new test site
Looking through the updates there does not seem to be that many changes to the database. Most of them relate to the configurations table so I assume as that is copied from the test site they will be no need to apply all those as they should be done already. I will give this a test run this week all ...
