cid in Url - cid killer needed as in early oscommerce?

Post by loop »

Hi All
i'm now after 1 year development near to the golive ...
i had once while clicking on my shop in the url a parameter in the url cid=3287fdsaouidafs0898 but at the moment i don't see that, so i'm not sure what happend that i see this

i'm worried as in the past of oscommerce i remember to have this and google crawled me because of this 1 week long and indexed 100k of sites and i remember to install in oscommerce "cid killer" to get rid of this

Can someone explain me if this is still needed and if yes how to do it? (as i don't have the cid at the moment in the url i really don't know if a setting is now correct and was wrong before)

thank you for thoughts on this topic

If shop is correctly set up the ceid may (or may not) appear one time, that depends on what you choose.
