All customisations in a single folder tree
Is there a way to have all customisations for a site in a single folder tree? ie All templates / hooks / custom modules / system overrides / ext libraries / maybe even images. Something along the lines of /usr/local folder in Linux, I am thinking that if that is possible would be easy to backup a heavily customised site and also easy restore it to a fresh instance.
