MZMT

Post by Dan Cole »

I'm currently working on updating my 1.0.5 Phoenix site to 1.0.8.20 and am still using a old osC legacy add-on called MultiGeoZone MultiTable Shipping. It works on my old 1.0.5 shop but I'm sure not what problems I might run into updating if for 1.0.8.20 so I'm wondering if anyone is still using this add on and whether they have updated it to work with a recent version of Phoenix?

The user manual describes the addon as:
This addon allows you to set up multiple shipping tables in multiple zones. It works like the
Table module in stock osCommerce, but with multiple tables. Tables can be based on the order
weight, total cost, or number of items.

Send an email/message to @burt Gary. He altered the current core zones module for me. I wanted to be able to use multi zones for our Royal mail international postage. It is dead easy to add extra zones in the core module, there is an area in the code where you can change the number. We set up 7 zones no trouble. There was nothing that controls the minimum and maximum order weight and/or value in any of the shipping modules, which was the bits that he added. The maximum and minimum weights apply to all zones selected, but he may be able to do something so that it is possible to adjust those totals on each zone created, if that's what you want.

he did also add the same feature into a copy of the core table weight so we could create many other modules using that code for different postal services offered by Royal mail in the UK.

Not too sure of the number of items bit, but he may be able to better suggest something than I can.
