Help with email recognising payment module

Hi,

I am trying to create an if statement in my order confirmation email that will allow me to display payment info if my customers pay by direct bank deposit...

So basically;
if $order->info['payment_method'] == pm_direct_deposit

I have just modified the COD payment module for my DD module ...
From what I can gather the best way to do this is add the DD payment method name into the CONFIG table ... if the text description is MODULE_PAYMENT_DIRECT_DEPOSIT_TEXT_DESCRIPTION how do I change my module to save this in the CONFIG table?

Is this what the "static::CONFIG_KEY_BASE" code is doing in the get parameters function?

And if so can I just add the one line into CONFIG and how would that look? or is there a more straight forward way to do it that I just havent thought of?

display payment info

Do you mean display the bank account details (needed for the customer to make payment) in the checkout notification e-mail?
Maybe this does what you require:
app.php/addons/free_addon/bank_transfer_payment/
