I have enjoyed writing many addons for the Phoenix Cart community over the past few years. It was my goal to give back to a development community as I have been assisted so many times over the years by various developer communities. I am however being pulled in many different directions and have decided to step back from the Phoenix development as there are only so many hours in the day. I am thankful for all of the support from the Phoenix community!
I have disabled the ability to purchase new licenses for now on phoenixaddons.com. I will see if I can find another Phoenix developer that would like to continue these projects.
I have disabled the ability to create new accounts on phoenixaddons.com.
PAID Addons
If you have an active account on phoenixaddons.com, you will be able to login and your active licenses will still be available.
I will continue to support all paid addons that have a non-expired license until all licenses have expired. There are a couple of paid addons that do not have annual licenses. I will support those thru the end of 2025.
Any paid addons that do not have active licenses, will be removed from phoenixaddons.com.
Free Addons
If you are in need of assistance on a free addon that I wrote, I would encourage you to reach out on the forums as that code is freely available to adjust/review/alter.
I will be trying to get other developers to take over my code and maintain it going forward.
I will also continue to do work for existing clients as needed.
I will not be taking on any new Phoenix clients going forward.
This decision was not made lightly. I am thankful for all the support from the Phoenix community, and I wish the community well in the future!
This is indeed sad news. I have a couple of your addons and they are just brilliant. You even coded some specially for me which was really appreciated.
I too have taken a step back from supporting Phoenix which was a hard decision to make. I have supported the project from the days that it was still an oscommerce thing in gold and edge and Phoenix right from version 1.
I am sure that the project will miss you, your input, and the great addons you created. May I wish you every success in the future, and once again thanks for the help you have given not just me but everyone else in the past.
