Hi,
Got a mail from Google with the following error for my index.php on a bilingual site (english and french) and I really do not know what I am to do:
"Alternate page with proper canonical tag
These pages aren't indexed or served on Google"
Note that I am On Phoenix 1.0.99 with canonical tags module enabled but do not know where to look for the problem since it says that the tag is proper. Thanks for your help

Re: Google error Alternate page with proper canonical tag
Why do you think there is a problem?
Google messages are normal and do not indicate an error. E.g. from the demo, you might see something like
https://phoenixcart.org/demo/product_in ... ducts_id=9 (indexed)
https://phoenixcart.org/demo/product_in ... ducts_id=9 (Alternate page with proper canonical tag. These pages aren't indexed or served on Google)
Rather than being an error message, that's a "system working as expected" message.
As to whether you can configure Google to only email you when there is a problem and not to tell you that everything is working fine in a vaguely disturbing manner, I don't know.

Re: Google error Alternate page with proper canonical tag
Thanks, Matt. I added script to .htaccess to force https in case there was a way it was picking up an http.
