Guest Checkout loses session

Hi dear;
I tried using Guest checkout on my new 1.1.0.3 install.
Added shiny red apple sample product to cart;
Clicked checkout-> On login page clicked purchase without account-> Filled in first name, last name, email, street address, city, pin code, state, country, telephone clicked continue(note the page did not refresh to prompt for a state selection), it goes to shopping cart which is now empty.

On second try again i added apples to cart again repeated the above- this time on continue page refreshes to ask for selecting state, then i select state and click continue it takes me to checkout shipping.

Pls can anyone guide me here what the issue is..

If you turn off Purchase without Account/Guest Checkout, does it work? If so, ask the supplier of the add-on if it is compatible with 1.1.0.3.

For example, this add-on: app.php/addons/free_addon/purchase_without_account

Only shows compatible through 1.1.0.1 and has a support forum at app.php/addons/free_addon/purchase_with ... nt/support

As it's a free add-on, I'm not sure how fast he would be able to check and fix it for 1.1.0.3 if it's not working there, but that's the place to let him know about problems for the next time he's able to work on it.
