All, please check your PM inboxes

Post by burt »

I have a few PM in my outgoing box that for some reason have not arrived in the recipients inbox.
Usually this is due to the senders outbox being full or the recipients inbox being full.

To combat this, have a look at each of your PM boxes, and see if they're full up.
If yes, delete out some of the old PM Messages which will allow new ones to get to you.

If your sent box is full up, you'll see a queue of your outgoing PMs in your outbox.
If your inbox is full up, there might be PMs waiting for you in other peoples outbox.

Hope that makes sense.

Do you have to resend if the receiving person's inbox is full, or is it just queued until they empty it?

EDITED:
As far as I understand it, having done a bit more investigation of this forum software;

Sender Sends:
It shows in the Senders OUTBOX until the recipient reads it.
It shows in the Recipients INBOX as "unread"

When the Recipient reads it:
It moves from the Senders OUTBOX to the Senders SENT MESSAGES box
It still shows in the Recipients Inbox but as "read".

Therefore if you (as a sender) appear to have something stuck in your Outbox...
It means the recipient has not read it.

You do not need to "delete" then "resend". I believe it's all down to the recipient to read (or leave unread).
