Re: No shipping module in backend since update to v1.1.0.7

Post by BrockleyJohn »

There is a clash between new class Table as part of invoice rewrite and shipping class table.

I think it should only affect admin > modules > shipping

If you need a quick workaround to get into this page to change something, you can temporarily rename

admin/includes/classes/table.php to something else (which will break the invoice page)
and then rename it back again afterwards so you can view invoices again

Or if you don't use the table shipping module, you can delete the file
catalog/includes/modules/shipping/table.php
and then you don't need to put anything back afterwards!

I get in:
Admin -> Catalog -> Products Attributes the following error:

Code: Select all

[11-Jul-2026 11:25:58 Europe/Berlin] PHP Fatal error: Uncaught TypeError: Text::output(): Argument #1 ($s) must be of type string, null given, called in C:\laragon\www\xxxxxxxxxxxxx\includes\system\versioned\1.01.00.00\select.php on line 68 and defined in C:\laragon\www\xxxxxxxxxxxxx\includes\system\versioned\1.0.8.2\text.php:59

It seems the following change in:
includes\system\versioned\1.01.00.00\select.php lines 66-70 fixes it:

Code: Select all

        if (isset($option['parameters']) && is_array($option['parameters'])) {
          foreach ($option['parameters'] as $name => $value) {
            $field .= sprintf(' %s="%s"', $name, Text::output($value ?? '', static::ESCAPES));
          }
        }

@raiwa thanks, do you have an empty option name or something.

I don’t think so. It shows on a vanilla core.

Double checked and there is no empty option name, just the default core options and attributes. It's an updated store, not a new installation.
Note that the error doesn't show on the screen, only in the error log.
But it stops loading the page, only shows the attributes section.

If/when you get to what is causing the error, post back. There is no point in making code to `fix` something when it is not known what is `broken`, right? Find the problem, basically. Something is "empty". Find that something.

No point putting a band-aid on a broken arm, equally no point putting a plaster cast on a small paper-cut.

I found the problem:

I had an orphan value in the products_options_values table which produced a null value in the parameters data-id:

Code: Select all

 [parameters] => Array
        (
            [data-id] =>
        )
)
It is an incorrect setup, of course, but it was not detectable on the products attributes page and should make no harm in other places of the shop.
It may happen also in other shops.
Before the 1.1.0.7 select class update no error was produced.

However for a standard user it's difficult to find the root, it just breaks the products attributes page which was working until 1.1.0.6 despite the orphan entry.
I would prefer to apply the fix to avoid breaking the page.
