Is it possible to have a image permanently in the description area on the product page ?

Hi all,

I dont know if this is possible at all, but can a image be put into the bottom of the product description area so it will appear when any other new products are added to the shop? (It will save having to add the image manually every time a new product is added to the shop)

Yes. Assuming it's to show on all products, you would need a product_info module.

Have a look in the addons area, otherwise I will make one tomorrow - it'll only take 5 minutes.
Then you simply upload and turn on.

There does not seem to be anything simple in the addon section that will do the job, I presumed the product description would be a php file and I would be able to add the image so it appears at the bottom every time a new product with description is added to the shop.

Yes, it will show on all products, nothing fancy is needed.

That would be a way to do it - add the "text" or "image" to the TPL file of product_description module - firstly overriding it into your Template. The downside to this is that it would always be "fixed" to your product description, and you might one day want to move your description elsewhere in the page, or maybe add something below the description area. That means that the text you want would no longer be directly above the Footer (which might be OK or not).

A module is the better way, as a module allows you to place it more or less anywhere in the page - top, bottom, side, underneath the images etc etc.

As you want it directly above the Footer, the best way is a Content Module set to full width and with a big sort order number.
Someone else might want it above the product description and 50% width, so they would just change the width and sort order number appropriately.
