PayPal Instant Payment Notification Warning

Hey John,

Spend no more of your time on this. I'm pretty sure this is Paypal's mistake.

Has to do with a customer who dealt with me directly and not through the shop. Paid me directly through PP. I think . . . Though I still wonder why the 404.

I'll report back if I learn otherwise. I'm grateful as always.

Since upgrading to Phoenix 1.1.0.6 I am having the same problem even though my Paypal IPN notifications are

Checked that I do have the paypal payment included in Phoenix 1.1.0.6 so don't know where the errpr is coming from

Hi John,
I finally have more information on my error. Paypal sent the full URL that is being refused. I have a multilanguage store so the the url on paymant is apparently amended to the customers language (example below). As in Paypal we can oly put https://www.xxx.com/ext/modules/payment ... rd_ipn.php, they will be stopping my payment notifications if it isn't fixed so I do not know what to do. If you could help I would appreciate it. On Phoenix 1.1.0.8.

Ok. Find that same line of code in the same file at your shop;
includes/modules/payment/paypal_standard.php

Add two slashes in front of that line of code, as so;

// $notify_url->set_parameter('language', $ipn_language);

Save.
Test it to see if `language=fr` is now gone.
Test for unintended side effects.

For anyone else experiencing the same issue: cloudflare was blocking paypal from accessing the ipn listener and returning a 404.

This was not related to updating Phoenix and not because of changing any settings in cloudflare - cloudflare just suddenly started treating paypal's notifier as a bot and blocked it.
