Just to give the developer perspective, since Burt may not see this for a while. We have stopped backporting the supporters' code to older versions. Our recommendation would be to hire one of the three certified developers to do the backport. Or use one of the resources to update to 1.0.5.1 or whatever version makes it start working. I don't think that 1.0.7.9 is required. 1.0.5.1 might be enough. It would almost certainly be enough to get past that particular error.

You might be able to make it work by copying

includes/system/versioned/1.0.5.1/abstract_executable_module.php
includes/system/versioned/1.0.5.1/abstract_module.php

from a newer version. But I haven't tried it. I think that would fix the error that you are getting, but it might just get you to the next error.

I suspected the version number may be too low for this code too work

since updating from 1.0.5.0 to 1.0.5.1 is a rather big step and my shop is currently quite heavily customised, I'll first try to copy these two files and see if it needs anything else (hopefully not)

Yes, you can have multiple countries as far as I remember.
If you add the US, I think you must also add US Dollars currency code.

You could, of course, download it and try it, on a TEST SHOP, not your live shop.
