Rather than manufacturer we used category on our old site.
I used to use category as well but have since switched to manufacturer and for my business that have been extremely helpful in recognizing old images and products we no longer carry. You can certainly do it by category but most of the products we carry fit into many different categories which just complicated the process for us resulting in directories full of outdated images.

I think opening the images folder and there are thousands of images in is somewhat a disaster.
Later i added an old addon to check for missing images and unused images.
Also, when you update a product in admin with a new image then the old one is not removed - 1 extra image collected with no purpose?
I also agree the category idea would systematically cause hiccups, some of our items are copied to multiple categories.

I have adapted a new version of the file manager for image handling. Tested with Phoenix 1.0.8.17 and php8. Maybe someone can test and report before uploading...

Hi Denzel,
Hope you can help as I have had this working right up to 1.0.9.10. Now with the latest 1.1.0.0 BS version of Phoenix it won't work, maybe because jquery is no longer supported. Would you consider upgrading it and maybe even put it in the addons as I and surely others would be happy to pay for it as it is such a perfect image handling addon. Thank you in advance!
