Yes, confirmed (testing on current 1.0.9.6)
For example, Admin>Modules>Content - Install Module.
They show as installed after installation on the admin page but do not show on the product_info page in the store.

I am also now onto 1.0.9.6
My store uses 17 product_info modules, when it came to sorting the modules for example "Add to Cart Quantity Input Box" i were unable to sort this to show before the Add to cart button.

In the admin side it displays correct in sort order but not on product page.
Removing all other modules did not influence this sorting. Eventually, if i recall adding them in sorting sequence then the modules were showing up in correct sort order.

Yes, confirm this behaviour too.
Installed the core Buy Button and Model content modules to test.
They will only show after uninstall/re-install π Modular product_info module but need to repeat that for every module installation.
Changed Sort Order for Model, displays correct in sort order but not on product page.
Tried uninstall/re-install π Modular product_info module but that did not work so still cannot sort.

Also just tested this on a 1.0.8.21 with same installation and sort issues so it's not associated with this release.
Also just tested this on a 1.0.8.19 with no issues with install or sort so guessing issues were introduced in either 1.0.8.20 or 1.0.8.21

I cannot recreate this.

I installed a brand new 1.0.9.6.
I opened the shop side product page in a browser. All looks as it should. As expected.

I opened the admin side in another tab in the same browser.
I went to admin > modules > content and {install} the normal product-model content module.
It installed and shows in the list of installed modules in the admin page. As expected.

I went to the other browser window and refreshed.
The product-model shows at the very bottom of the produt-info page (as it is last in the sort ordering). As expected.

I went back to the admin side and changed the sort order to 57.
I went back to the shop side and refreshed the product page.
The product-model now shows below the review link. As expected.

As per original report, first select product_info from the drop down selection to install the modules for the product page.
That recreates the issue.

If then select --All Modules-- from the drop down selection, the issue disappears.
If product_info is not first selected from the drop down selection, (that is, leave it as --All Modules--) then there is no issue.
Starting to go blind after testing this for you.

It looks like when the page is selected, the MODULE_CONTENT_INSTALLED value is not updated appropriately.

If I well remember, this was reported some versions ago when the drop-down was introduced and not fixed yet.

Thanks @burt . To replicate any issue is always difficult, sometimes we know something is off but cannot get to the root of the cause.

Concern is members not reading this will have a hard time updating their shop as we need to uninstall and re install modules especially the changes to the modules content width.

I am not sure from which version this creeped in but i know there was a while back something similar to this.
To recap: if you are using the dropdown selection to install modules or even to change sort orders - it will not update MODULE_CONTENT_INSTALLED
Leave selection on --All Modules--

In admin when looking at the Products Purchased and Products Viewed reports but strangely not the Customers order totals report, when attempting to move onto page 2, the last product in the list is selected and displayed and there appears no way into the later pages. I.E. by hovering over the page change section the last item is also highlighted.
