CE Phoenix Cart Forum

I am trying to install a new copy of the latest version o0f Phoenix, but no matter what I try I get an error on the first page of the install. The image explains it all really, but does say that

The webserver is not able to save the installation parameters to its configuration files.

The following files need to have their file permissions set to writeable (chmod 777 will always work):

There are no files listed that need their permissions changing. I have tried searching the forum but cannot find anything related.

Any help would be appreciated.

I forgot to mention that I have tried changing the permissions of both configure files to 777 and the message stays.

I have tried uploading the files into a new folder and still get the message.

That's the line that checks if it should print that message. Right after it, put a var_dump, so it looks like That should put some debugging information before the error display (i.e. before the red block). Let us know what it says. You could also add but that might include private information. Feel free to send via PM.

It sort of sounds like realpath is failing. I might better be able to guess why with the dump from dirname(__FILE__, 4).

Got it sorted.

Uploaded everything to another new folder. Went through the install process and all works as it should. Once installed changed the admin folder name rather than try doing it during the install process and it seems to have worked.
