I've just updated my test site to 1.0.8.20 and found a problem with the sub-categories.
This may have been a problem before the update but I'm not sure (my memory is terrible)
Problem (based on apples)
Category: apples - click on and the sub-category with "Green Apples / red Apples" - click on either to get the penultimate sub- category and only the title shows
Anyone have an idea where I can look for the problem?

Re: sub-categories
I have the following, all set to true:
in index:
Page Heading
Customer Greeting
Main Text
New Products
Upcoming Products
in index_nesting:
Page Heading
Category Description
Sub Category List
New Products
I'd read this is a problem now - although some are - none of the ones I've checked have products and sub categories in the same category unless some I may have would affect all sub-categories?
Do you have an inactive product and subcategories in the same category?
Current Store is now running 1.0.9.0 - php 8.2.18

Re: sub-categories
I've been trying to recreate such an error, but I wasn't able to.
I wonder if it could be some addon interfering ?

Re: sub-categories
Does the category have a description? Have any of the index_nested modules been modified or replaced? This is the kind of thing that happens when there is a fatal error in a module. If this is a category with subcategories, that could either be in the title, category description, or subcategory modules.
If there were a product in the category, it could be in an index_products module.
If you have error logs or turn on the error display, the error message might help. It should at least give you a file name and line number.
