Just been dealing with an online company.
Needed to know what ancillary product would be compatible with the main product that we required.
We're not registered on their site but they replied with a link to a cart that was preloaded with the products required.
That made checkout very easy - impressed.
We regularly do this ourselves on one of our shops (like a personal shopper) but with registered customers.
How could this be done with unregistered customers?

Re: Email a Cart
Link to cart with product parameters or link with pre-filled cart Id parameter.
In Phoenix a custom add cart action which processes a product array included in the link parameters could do it.
Or something like a stored wish list which is identified and processed by link parameters.

Re: Email a Cart
Send them a URL with a session ID in it. Of course, they'd have to click it quickly if you are deleting your sessions regularly.

Re: Email a Cart
Thanks again for the help.
Took a bit of trial and error to make it work so posting what I did in case somebody else wants to do it but possibly/probably there's an easier way?
So:
Close browser.
Open browser again and go to shop.
Next click generated a new ?ceid=xxx in the URL.
Copied that.
Loaded cart then appended the ?ceid=xxx to https://myshop.com/shopping_cart.php
Copied that new URL, that is, https://myshop.com/shopping_cart.php?ceid=xxx
Checked in a new browser and that URL shows the loaded cart.

Re: Email a Cart
A really nice idea. Could be a good USP of Phoenix? Some type of admin page to set up carts as needed then have a custom action as raiwa advises.
phoenixshop.com/shopping_cart.php?action=load&id=xyz
The session way is pretty much doing the same job as the above, all shopside.

Re: Email a Cart
The company we mentioned in first post sent a nice canned email with the link.
Maybe that's possible in that admin page too?Your Basket Awaits. We look forward to your order.
Your Saved Basket.
As promised, we're emailing you a link to your shopping basket which contains the products you previously requested.
To access your saved basket, simply click the button below - you'll still be able to make changes before checking out.
If you are already shopping on our website, your existing basket contents will be replaced with the new products after clicking the link.
