Cookie Warning Notice Banner
The need for a cookie warning pop-up seems to be on the rise again, just when we thought it was over. A law was passed in this part of Canada that requires a cookie warning on every website. I vaguely remember an add-on in previous versions. I'm already using GDPR but from what I can see it doesn't have a front-end pop-up warning. Any ideas?

@burt The documentation is in French, but here's an English overview of some of the privacy obligations that are businesses are required to meet.

I've posted a couple of links in English below. I have a link to the actual legislation in English.
The rules are very similar to the EU. Canada has tough privacy laws, and Quebec has legislation that is even tougher, with fines and penalties for non-compliance.

Seems tough. Tougher than the EU version.
You should ensure you have ALL the GDPR modules loaded up [there are more in the PRO version of Phoenix].
That takes care of a lot of what you need; anonymization, right to be forgotten, data portability and more.
I don't know of a good "I accept cookies" script.

Thanks @burt. I have installed all of the Pro GDPR modules, nuke your account, what we know about you, download your data, etc...burt wrote: ↑Tue Oct 31, 2023 3:30 pm Seems tough. Tougher than the EU version.

It's the "consent to cookies" that is a bit of a struggle.

They are based in Canada so should be aware of the requirements.
