What is the best way to mark altered text in language files

Post by 14Steve14 »

Bit of a silly question this.

I have just gone through the update from 21.8.21.to 1.8.21 and several language files have been updated. In some of those language files I have altered the text to suit my site and to make things look different from many other sites out there. During the update I have had to go through each file to find the changes that I made. Luckily I have documented all the changes.

How do others over come this sort of thing?
Do you override the language files in both shop side and admin side or is there a better way.

Just looking for ideas to make the update process even easier.

We use override for language-changes and make sure to look out for our overriden files in update-packages.
