Last Modified in Customers not updating

Phoenix 1.9.0. PHP8
Compared to our old 1.0.7.11 version website.
We have noticed that in the admin - customers page, when a customers details are viewed in the right column the Last Modfied area is empty. We would expect this as neither us nor the customer have changed any data.
After we opened, checked and verified the customers details and the save the details, the last modified used to show that we had updated the information.
On the current version of the website 1.0.9 this does not change.
Is ii something that may have been overlooked or removed totally as we used to find it quite helpful when checking new customers address details with RM postcode.
