Welcome to v1.0.9.7

- introduces the long awaited Bootstrap 5 template into Core Code.
- introduces a full customer Data Hub (more or less what we know as the GDPR addon).
- minor optimisations and bug fixes

The Bootstrap 5 Template

This is a self contained template, however it does override a few system files and a few language files. If your shop has glitches after enabling the bootstrap5 template, these overridden are likely the cause. Feel free to ask for advice in this thread.

Special thanks to @bonbec and @Kofod95 for helping to test the Bootstrap 5 demo site and giving great feedback. TY guys.

The Customer Data Hub

Simply enable all the GDPR modules in Admin. Customer can now see all her data and anonymize some of it and delete some of it. You can even allow the customer to delete their profile. MATC (if installed) will now store your privacy policy and terms as part of the customers account.

@heatherbell and I have worked tirelessly over many months from 1.0.9.0 onwards to accommodate Bootstrap 5 and uprate Phoenix so that it is more appealing to shopowners looking for an ecommerce software to use. Hundreds of unpaid hours of development and testing have gone into this.

Updating to 1.0.9.7 from 1.0.9.6 is fairly straightforward.

It's actually quite a small update, excepting the bootstrap5 template (which has loads of files, obviously you do not have to use or even upload the boostrap5 template if you do not wish to).

Why you should think about uprating to Bootstrap 5

BS4 is EOL (End Of Life), read more https://getbootstrap.com/docs/4.6/end-of-life/

Here is the first addon specifically for the Bootstrap 5 theme

Just download and install in the usual way.

It will affect/change the styling of existing modules so, as advised, only run if using Bootstrap 5.

Uncaught Error: Undefined constant "NAVBAR_ICON_CART_CONTENTS" in /templates/bootstrap5/includes/modules/navbar/tpl_nb_shopping_cart.php:3
