I had to use my own site and I wanted to go back to checkout_confirmation.php which brought up:

Document Expired
This document is no longer available.
The requested document is not available in Firefox’s cache.

Which I completely understand why I can't and shouldn't and that an invoice is in the history etc, but is there a better way to handle this kind of failure such as taking the customer back to the title page?

Just asking as I gave me a Ugh! moment.

Where from?
And how?

I guess from checkout_success and I guess by using the Browsers back button.

We can't do anything about what a browser allows you to do, nor what it then says when it allows you.

You could try using javascript, but that's not something we'd want in Core Code.

Thankyou for the reply Burt, yes I thought that would be the case and that you confirmed it.

Today I asked Iask.ai the same question with some pretty similar results except for session management
which would probably provide problems if the customer chose to make another purchase in the same session.

'in php can a webpage be redirected to another if a user hits the back button on a web brwser'
