Hello, I would like to include the codes of the Italian provinces in the official version. Who can I give the MYSQL instruction to?

Thank you. Feel free to upload SQL as an addon, or just paste it in this thread for Italian users to find.

We don't want to go down the path of this in Core, as other users in many other countries might want the same, which will mean;

a/ loads of requests to add in country details that I don't want to deal with
b/ when that is done, more code in core that I don't want to look after
c/ bigger download for end users
d/ slower installation for new install

More or less, for the same reason, we have only English language in Core.

I don't want to argue, but I have to disagree, you don't have ONLY English...
You have: USA, Canada, Germany, Austria, Switzerland, Spain.

Now, that you don't want to add Italy is fine with me and I will do it with an ADDON.
But that you tell me that you only have the English/American ones is not fine with me.

We have provinces for a number of countries for historical reasons. I.e. they were added. We never removed them. We don't want to add to that list.

What burt was saying was that among languages, not provinces, we only have the English language pack in core. We don't have translations for Germany, Spain, Austria, or Italy in core, even though we do have provinces listed for Germany, Austria, Switzerland, and Spain. They still have to install language packs for Deutsch, Austrian, French (for Canada), Italian (for Switzerland, which also speaks French and Deutsch), and Espannol (I don't even have the letter on my keyboard to spell that correctly).

We actually removed Deutsch and Espannol from the core community version, perhaps before I started working on it (I don't remember).

We have neither provinces or language for some countries, e.g. China and India, two of the four languages with the most native speakers.

I apologize if this appears unfair. However, we would be more likely to decrease the provinces in core than to add to them. If there were a problem with the provinces in one of the countries that is currently in core that does not speak English natively, we'd likely remove that country's provinces rather than attempt to fix them. That's basically how Deutsch and Espannol got removed. They fell out of date and were removed rather than fixed.

Yes, I will too... Now I'm looking for a way to insert taxes without compromising the present ones...
