Any feedback/thoughts/opinions etc welcome.

The general idea is;

1. show what addons are uploaded to a shop
2. show compatibility
3. allow user to contact creator of addon easily

What's missing?

could it check if an update is available?
with possibly limiting the answer to ones compactable with installed Phoenix version?
i know you could see from latest addons, but if you don't have it installed or its addon number 6. you would of course wont see it

Honestly, that would be difficult.

The best I could do, I think, is link to each Addon within that card.
That link might be to the addons area, to a commercial website or whatever the addon maker defines the URL as.
That link already shows as the "globe" icon in the Footer.

What I have missed - playing arond with Phoenix ... for any add-ons / modulse etc.etc. is a simple switch on/off ....

I In the past I have installed some add-ons and after 30 minutes playing around with it I decided "not good enough" ... so I want to switch off ... But that's not possible (especially for hooks) ... You need to delete files from server ... But than I week later - for some reason - I thought "maybe that was ok" (with tweeks) and want to switch it on ....

But this idea is allready vere helpfull! Thanks!

Yeah, hooks are considered "always on". It might be possible to uprate the Hook system to allow the possibility of turning off & on (eg the red/green selector), I've never looked into it. Has anyone else ever looked into this area?

You can turn database hooks on and off (by inserting or deleting the database entry). You could conceivably insert a no-op database hook where a file-based hook was and override it.

Yeah - I have tried last year. Not to difficult as I remember but needs core adjustment (if I remember well). I am terrible at documenting so can't find the code I used.

But for Matt this probably is peace-of-cake IMHO.

I would prefer database setting off/on .... which brings me to another point of attention (you guys can always ignore me - no offence taken ;) ) ... but why not have a configuration table for only admin settings .. (to bring back Table configuration load for every shopsite click) ... off-couse some settings are ambigious (both shop and admin) ..

Since you set the shop settings in admin, pretty much all shop settings are ambiguous that way. There aren't that many admin-only settings. Not really enough to justify a second table that might have conflicts with the first. The problems that would arise outweigh the benefits.

I think this is a must have. But where is the information for the cards being drawn from? Also a great suggestion to be able to turn addons off/on with a click. Been thinking about that for ages.
