Products Don't Appear Categories after update from v1.0.9.5 to v1.0.9.9

Products aren't appearing in the categories after the updates from v1.0.9.5 to v1.0.9.9. See the behavior here:

How can I fix this?

1. check the content module Product Listing on index_products is enabled and has a sensible content container
2. check if there's anything written to the php error_log
