Hi dear;
My host is upgrading php from 7.4 to 8.4 ,
But sql is 5.7.4 version....
SO will it break anything on my current 1.1.0.6 version phoenix cart? Do I have to take any measures?
Please could you help guide me on what steps to take on my live store...
Thank you in advance;
Warm Regds./

Core code will be ok but you may hit trouble from customisations and addons, or maybe old code that's not needed any more but not removed (hooks are often missed when deleting unused addons).

The main thing you are likely to hit is constants not being defined, which is an error on php8 instead of a warning.

Set your error level so that warnings and deprecated notices are logged (not displayed!) and check what's there before the upgrade happens.

This will give you a good idea over a few days. Addons that are maintained will already have php8 compatibility fixed so you should be able to update them.
