What will be removed from the software ?

This might seem a strange question but what sort of things will have to be removed from Phoenix when the separation happens ?
Will it affect the admin side much ?

Because osCommerce is GPLed, there is no need to remove anything from Phoenix unless we want to switch licenses.

I would want to change how we generate list tables. E.g. list of customers, orders, reviews, etc. Also I've been considering changing the processing of actions. But that has nothing to do with the split. It may be advantageous in that it differentiates the code more, but that's not the reason to do it. Just a beneficial side effect.

Other than that, I don't think that there are immediate plans to make radical changes to the admin. At least not ones that would be visible to store owners. I mean, Burt just overhauled the look. I don't think that there are plans to do that again soon.

We are more likely to break out some things that could easily be modules. E.g. OpenSearch, PayPal, MailChimp.

Anything that promotes osCommerce, they've screwed us over;

Both gone. Everything else will be kept or removed based on Phoenix's needs.
