Hi All,

I was wondering how I can add a “View Gallery” button under product image on the products information page. Some customers don’t know they can view a product gallery by clicking on the product image.

Have your customers actually told you that? The behaviour of clicking an image is intuitive but if you really need to tell them, I would simply tell them by using Layout Modules->Product Info->Image Disclaimer module - put text in the language file e.g. "Click any image for gallery".

Yes, some have said so... Not everyone is tech savvy or would naturally hover their mouse over an image especially in this case where they are on the product info page. So some adjustments have to be made for others. Other sections have a view button to view products - which you could equally click the thumbnail to do. This highlights the need to make adjustments for others and cover as many scenarios as possible..

That's one of the many benefits of Phoenix - you can make it do just about whatever you want.

I have even had customers mentioning that they were not aware when clicking a product in the product listing they would get more info on the product.

I think by now most visitors of online shops know what is possible and what is not, and online shopping has increased with Corona.

Therefor more people are shopping online, resuling in less shopping digital illiterates.

But do not underestimate the stupidity of some visitors.... :-)

For the admin:

I think phpBB has the possibility to have the browser open a new tab as soon as a link is clicked.

IMHO it's better to enable this feature, if not the user is clicking himself away from the forum.
