Restricted Access Admin

Hi Y'all.
Nice be on the new forum.
Running a now ancient
Phoenix v1.0.5.0 but I'm very happy with it for now, next year I'll look to upgrade..
My next project is to give our bookkeeper access to the orders.php page to see all order details in admin but only that, with no active links to other parts of admin or update buttons so its secure.
My thought was to duplicate the admin directory under a different name, with a separate htaccess password.
I can then delete all other admin folder files not needed.
I can easily delete any update buttons etc from the orders.php page but is there a simple way to remove all content from the left side column to other admin sections but keeping the structure the same? (ie. the left column in Admin is an empty column with no links)
I'm not sure how it is sized, with no content I assume it will collapse?
Iain
