VAT included in the price - Question

Hi, i want to have the vat included in the price, so if i say the product cost 9.90 and save, i want that in the order / system he see the 9.90 (which includes the tax)
to achieve this i could hack the tax to 0.00 in the module and it would work, but for history reason it would be good, that i can have the real tax (for example 7.7) to the order matched, but it doesn't add the 7.7% on the price
i hope that my problem is described correct

thank you if you have any idea how i can set taxes but without adding the taxes to the price (as it's included in my price)

There are two price entries on the product page. One includes tax and the other does not. So always enter your prices as the one that includes tax and the other will be set automatically.
Somewhere there is a configuration entry to show prices including VAT. Set that to true.

Thank you for your answer, i did that with show prices including VAT TRUE and +- i see it like i want it, the problem is in real, the price is saved thenn to the database without VAT and with VAT it's the price i want to show....
what i need, is that the price i want to be included is really saved in the database, so whenn i write 99.00 euro, thenn i need that it's saved like this (as i need to acces on the database with different scripts and i need that the price i see there is the final price, vat included)
so what i would need to setup a tax but to say he should not calculate anything as it's already included.

Or just modify your scripts to base themselves on the price without VAT.
I mean, modifying the core representation to make your scripts work seems the wrong way to go about it. The more sensible thing is to modify the scripts to match core.
If you absolutely need a database column that contains a price that includes VAT, it would be simpler to add a new one than to try to modify the existing column.

Thanks for this. I have already tried this and it totally messes up another area on the product page where I show the MRRP and a discount compared to that price. It may be that I have to get the code changed to suit the application. I have created a PI module to show some text under the price that shows that VAT is added to the price at 20%.

Hi, I use version 1.0.8.0 and it works perfectly, only problem that calculates the taxes on the total but not on the number of products_attributes.

Double check instructions, from memory, I thought there was an option in the addon to do that.

Hi heatherbell, I checked and double checked, if I don't see where I'm wrong,
example:
1 bottle of wine costs 16 euros including taxes;
1 box of 3 bottles costs 48 euros, so in products_attributes I have to insert an option of box3 + 32 euros, at this point the app calculates the taxes on € 54.40, that's all.
if I delete the products_attributes it calculates perfectly
