Customer Details

Post by ronc »

Hi:

I was looking at some settings and noticed there are no options under customer details settings in the admin panel. I got here by trying to remove the requirement for phone number as we do not really need this.
Is the option to add remove options and whether they are required or not gone or do I have an issue.

I am on version 1.0.8.0 of phoenixcart

Admin: Modules: Customer Data: Telephone: Require Telephone module (if enabled)
You are right, the label is confusing. It should be:
"Require Telephone (if enabled)"
@burt , @ecartz ?
The same for other modules.

I found it and changed it. Out of curiousity what is the Customer Detail area for then, as stated mine is empty void.

Did you update from an older version that had admin > Configuration > Customer Details? All that has moved to admin > Modules > Customer Data.

Yes we have been using Phoenix for a long while and have upgraded through several major versions and the admin - configuration - customer details is still there; but there is not any content. Should it have gone in one of the upgrades?

Not exactly. But it can go if you're not using it. I'm a bit reluctant to delete configuration groups automatically, as add-ons can put things in them. But that's why it's there, because it had been used in previous versions.
