Hi, is there a way I can reduce the search box size (width) at top of page so I can have more room to add a 468x60 banner advert between the store logo and the search box? Much white space up there and want rid off.

In your admin go to modules->content and look for "search" in the group "header". Click it, click "Edit" and set the content-width to a lesser number
