Hello,

Almost ready to go live but found that email does not work.

I tried emailing myself from Admin>Tools several times and do not receive anything.

I know it works on my osc234 shop. I'm using the same email address in Phoenix.

Site is hosted on a linux Godaddy server. I have tried both sendmail and smtp. Nothing.

I also tried to get to email me to Rest Password. Nothing.

Any ideas?

Firstly, you'll need to tell us what version of Phoenix you are using and any changes that might be relevant to the issue.
The most obvious thing is to double check you have your email entered correctly in the configuration / My Store area.

Have you created a dummy customer and received emails for that ?

It's quite surprising you're nearly ready to go live have only just discovered this problem.

I have read that you cannot use an e-mail address from another domain name.

Maybe that is your problem?

I'm using version 1.0.8.6

Had issues with getting USPS working but did mange to migrate from osc234 to Phoenix.

Yes, there was a dummy account that was imported from osc. I knew a couple days ago email wasn't working. Just been busy with other stuff.

Yes, I see the notification the email has been sent.

Mailbox full maybe or going into spam folder ?

No, I checked that.

Guess I'll have assume its working for now.

I here godaddy block all outbound emails on ports 25, 465 and 587, except their own server.
