When adding a product I put a pic into the "main image" .
I then add the same pic into "Add new Gallery image" and a different pic into another "Add new Gallery image".
Now my problem is when viewed, there are two images of the same pic showing.
One from the "main image" and the other from "Add new Gallery image".
Why is this, as doing the same thing in the OSC the "main image" is not seen.

You only need to add an image once. You don't need to put it in main image and as a new gallery image.

Yes you are correct for showing just one image.
But I want two or more images showing the product from different views.

So don't do that. As the wording suggests, only "Add new Gallery image".
Phoenix Cart does not require adding the same image to be used as a 'Large Image'.
