Next part of Phoenix to try to take a look at is the Checkout Procedure.
What changes would you like to see?

This will probably be echoed by other users but for me a one page checkout would make a massive improvement to Phoenix Cart.

It's true that it would be very practical, but unfortunately in France it's not possible. The law requires three pages: shopping cart with shipping amount, contact details, payment.
To please everyone, perhaps in the store administration it would be possible to configure the checkout in 1 page or 3 pages according to the legislation.

Probably Flexibility would be the answer. If the checkout would be fully modularized every shop-owner can configure its own ckeckout.

The checks for checkout shipping / checkout-payment / checkout-confirmation can maybe also be modularized and hooked and called anywhere I would think.

Never tried before and can't oversee the difficulties.

We can have the shipping and payment options , addresses on 1 page instead of 2 that makes the checkout time window look smaller..

@radhavallabh I'm required to have three pages. If this feature disappears, I'll have to leave PhoenixCart and use the CMS that complies with my country's regulations and is a leading provider in France.
Flexibility, as @azpro said, would be the best solution, but probably the most difficult to achieve.

Don't worry - whatever changes are made (if any, there are always priorities on the to-do list, including things that are not code [eg the wider phoenix ecosphere]) will be flexible.

EG, one shopowner might want a zero page checkout, another might want one page, another might want it as it is now, and so on. The modularity of Phoenix allows all of these, with suitable thinking about and coding.

Maybe this is already possible if you know what you're doing, but it would be nice to be able to have check boxes in the shipping area for optional services like signature and insurance. Currently I would be offering completely separate shipping options for those.

It would also be good to be able to use a different icon for each service, even if it's coming from the same module. This may also already be possible and I just don't know what I'm doing :D

Would this addon be the type of thing. app.php/addons/free_addon/extra_services

for me the step most important is that a customer not logged, after cart , should have the possibility to insert him informations, without passing form login page for going in page create account or checkout-guest; pwa is close a good solution but if you chose redirect in checkout-guest, it take away the possibility to go in login like customer, or maybe i haven't found the way for doing it.
So or you can be a customer recoded or a guest no both possibility; but this is too much limitative.
i have edit in this way viewtopic.php?f=28&t=2384
for have both the possibility
