12th birthday - a short history

This month mark the 12th birthday of my shop.

In August 2009 I started with OSc 2.2 RC2a which was stable but a pain to maintain.

In 2018 my hoster was about to stop the PHP release for RC2a, so Henri helped me move to a pre-version of Frozen.

That was the start of better times, since I was back on the forum and found good things like 28d.

In 2018 I moved my site to Jack_mcs hosting, because I was another PHP version behind.
This move was not a good decision, the site was OK but I had many,many,many and many hosting troubles. Many.

That made me decide to move to another hoster with another domain-name, and build this shop based on Phoenix 1079. I moved over within a week or 3, and there was my Phoenix webstore!

I have some 30 addons, and still adding.

@ReneH4 your story is very similar to mine. Started a year earlier than you using RC2a, updated to Edge with the help of Gary and his 28 days code, then finally moved to Phoenix 1.0.7.4 I think it was, and whilst getting the new site ready, updated through to 1.0.7.9 before releasing the site and updating to 1.0.7.11 and that's where it's at now. Lots of addons, lots of small changes and the store is performing really well, and the customers love it.

Now at the stage of either updating again or moving away to something else. (Yet to make mind up but currently looking at Square as a website and payment processor with POS.)

Thanks for these posts guys. It pleases me to see guys who use the software I tried to keep alive (in the olden days) and now Phoenix
