Product page Call To Actions

We are not coders, just store owner; time is very limited, and we recently started playing with “Product page Call To Actions – CTA”
Now the add on is £25, but in the Coop section, its free, one of many, possibly because it was free I was more willing to play with it, its brilliant, also something a ship-owner can make there own.
If you are not willing to invest £10 a month to be in the Co-op, you are missing so much.
Back to “Product page Call To Actions – CTA”
I have is set up so there is a message just under the add to cart button, no doubt though you could have this message anywhere, not only that, have not tried but you could probably have multiple versions scattered around in you wished it.
And that little icon jumps up and down to make sure its not missed
But let me explain how its set up on our store.
We have quite a few products in-house; these are set up as follows
Stock level of less than 3 – message is something like, hurry, last 3 in stock
Stock level of less than 10 – message is something like, last few remaining
Stock level 0 (or less, we made is -99) then something like, delivery 1-3 working days ( so we can get it in)
Stock level of more than 10, then depends on the price of the item, if over £50 then something like – Free next day delivery in UK Mainland
If less than £50 then something like, Next working day delivery, plus possibly Free delivery on orders over £50.
We also have a number of suppliers that we drop from, and we know some of them will deliver direct to client, but only if the order is placed early enough in the day
We have put a new column in the products table, so we have a reference to call from, so now we can change the message for these particular products and suppliers
So as delivery is paramount, something like – Free delivery 1-2 working days (if it’s over £50, if not a different message)
We have other suppliers that we are not confident that delivery will be next day, so we adjust for these suppliers; all controlled by a single column in the database, ie create the column with a value of “0 “ then perhaps change for all the lines you know you should have stock of to whatever suits perhaps “1”.
Then for lines / suppliers that might take slightly longer to deliver mark as “2”
even longer then perhaps “3 “ and so on.
We have some lines that we import, and that can take weeks, so a different message.
We have some lines that are a collection and fitting service, so a different message
And so on.
Now we have only scraped the surface; I understand you can also change messages if a client is logged in. I have not looked at that yet, or worked out how it's done, but no doubt will.
Now everything I have discussed above is controlled by small hooks- just a little bit of code that overwrites. Easy: copy another one and change to suit your requirement; cannot see any issue with page load speed.
Now, if you do not understand how hooks work, adapting this add-on to your site is an easy way to learn.
What you can do with this add-on is make the site yours and avoid many of the silly phone calls that are always the same: is it in stock, how much is shipping, is shipping free, when will it be delivered, etc.
If you are not paying £10 a month to be in the Coop, you are losing out; you will find people are much more willing to share code and how they got around something. There are many such free snippets of code offered every month. Make your website truly yours, stand out from the crowd.
