This is a screen shot of my Who's Online page you'll notice that on the right there is a big white space - back in 1.0.7.5 this would have shown

const TABLE_HEADING_SHOPPING_CART = 'Users Shopping Cart';

const TEXT_SHOPPING_CART_ITEM = '%s x %s';
const TEXT_SHOPPING_CART_SUBTOTAL = 'Subtotal: %s';
const TEXT_SHOPPING_CART_NA = 'N/A';
and although the langauge is still there the coding isn't

Really wondering if it was ever useful or was there another reason for it being removed?

The who's on line code is different in 1.0.9.2 compared to 1.0.9.0 - not really important I can wait

You did not say what version you are using.
Also displays as expected on 1.0.9.0 (guessing that is the version you are using). Screenshot from unmodified 1.0.9.0:

Guessing you have DIY'd updates from an older version so check you have applied all the necessary changes by looking at the Github history of commits for that page:

Sorry I keep my current version and php in my signature

As I said it's not that important for me and only been using it now because of the attack of bad bots I had - I think really I'm curous as to how useful it is - Do you use it a lot? and does it prove useful to you?

Never found Who's Online page to be of any use.
With regards to Bad Bots, we periodically view Access Logs to find data.
