Sure, I'll give it a try. Google reCAPTCHA didn't work at all.

Hi @burt Gary,

Couldn't tell if it was honeypot or the hCaptcha did the trick, but all bad bots were gone overnight. I don't like hCaptcha very much though, as the free version always requires the customers to select pictures matching the promoted one to verify.

The huge headache resolved anyway. Thank you very much!

Hi Gary,

hCaptcha was removed, and the bots appeared again. The speed of fake account creations was not as fast after honeypot was installed, though.

I have nothing else to suggest. Did you remove the math captcha in favour of hcaptcha ? Or running two captcha ?

I removed math captcha and used captcha instead. I'll try google recaptcha v3 when John has updated the code to work with the latest Phoneix version.

It might be worth trying math captcha and the honeypot - it might be enough, without the hcaptcha.
