Shipping Zones down to Post Codes

Hi all;
Is there a way we can achieve the division of zones down to the Post Codes in our core for Shipping Zones?
As this will help us achieve the goal for marking the zones that are Out of Service Delivery Area and incur extra charges.
An screenshot example as below I attach that is shown in beta of the new Oscommerce V4 I saw on the forum.
It would be delightful if our Phoenix could have the same functionality...

This is not something that we would do in core. It is the kind of thing that it would be reasonable to ask one of the certified developers to do.

It was just that when I saw many other kind of facilities in their upcoming core code, so I thought that may be we should be having some of those too....as these functions were quite cool.

If I remember correctly and apologies to @BrockleyJohn if I have this wrong but I *think* they said they had an add-on/module in progress that does what you want. Contact them on their website app.php/developers

Yes - in use on several sites but still not fully packaged as a standalone addon - bands of charges for shipping where each band is composed of areas that are geographical groupings of postcodes, which are roughly common for all couriers in UK.

What's still lacking is a screen for configuring which postcodes belong in which area.

Shipping price can be based on order price (customer friendly) or order weight (relates to cost to send)
