Edit Products Attribute whenn in Cart

Hi All
i'm experimenting with the "attributes" if that would suits my needs. My Question is:

• whenn customer decide a attribute, and add it to the cart, ist it possible in the shoppingcart.php to change the option (so to choose a other option or to disable the option at all), If not already programmed, where would be the starting point there, is there a class/ function to update the attribute?

That is not programmed as part of core code.
I don't know if there might be an addon that could do it.

One other thing i don't find out at the moment: whenn click on "add to cart" with the ajax_buy module and DON'T select a option (so the option is empty) i get the screen "added to cart" but it does not add to cart. if i select a option it's fine, and the product is added to the cart including option

if i add a product where there is no option active, it's also added to cart with no problem.

so something goes wrong, whenn the attribute is submited (ID) but no value / Empty
