Admin → Tools → Unused Images
Procedure:
- Display unused images with previews
- Select them and move them to the trash (images/trash/)
- Check the trash - restore them if necessary or download them as a ZIP file
- Permanently delete them when you're sure
Note:
Images embedded directly in product descriptions or information pages using HTML are also recognized and are not marked as unused.
No database schema required.
Installation:
involves simply copying 4 files.
Limitations:
* Product images in
subfolders of `images/` are not captured
* Images in admin descriptions (category text, etc.) are not scanned using RegEx
* Only the first
500 product descriptions are scanned using RegEx
Uninstallation:
simply delete the 4 files and manually empty `images/trash/`
