CE Phoenix Product Documents is an upgrade-safe add-on that allows store owners to attach downloadable files to individual products in CE Phoenix Cart.

It adds a dedicated Product Documents tab to the product editor, making it easy to upload and manage manuals, instructions, specifications, spreadsheets, licences, technical information and other supporting documents without modifying Phoenix Cart core files.

Easy document management - The Product Documents tab provides a clean, responsive two-column layout for managing uploaded files.

Clicking Add document opens a modal containing fields for:

- The document file
- Customer-facing link text
- Optional document text
- Display sort order

Clicking Add document in the modal uploads and saves the file immediately. The page then refreshes the document listing and automatically returns to the Product Documents tab.

Existing documents can be:

- Viewed
- Replaced
- Given custom download-link text
- Accompanied by optional supporting text
- Reordered
- Removed

Intelligent saving
New documents are uploaded immediately from the Add Document modal, so the main product Save button is not required for new uploads.

When a saved document is modified, the Save and Cancel controls appear automatically. This includes changes to:

- Introductory text
- Download-link text
- Document text
- Sort order
- Replacement files

The controls remain hidden while nothing has changed, keeping the page uncluttered while ensuring existing document edits are not lost. Introductory and document-specific text

Optional introductory text can be displayed above the complete document list on the product information page.

Each uploaded document can also have its own supporting text. This can explain what the file contains, provide download instructions or highlight important information.

If custom link text is not supplied, the uploaded filename is used as the customer-facing download link.
Storefront display

The included Product Info content module displays uploaded documents on the product information page.
The storefront output uses clean, plain download links with optional supporting text. Document links open safely in a new browser tab.

The module can be configured through the standard Phoenix Cart content-module system, including:

- Module status
- Display group
- Content width
- Sort order

This allows the document section to be positioned alongside other Product Info modules without changing the product-page template.

Secure file handling

Uploaded documents are stored in a dedicated documents directory.

The add-on includes:

- An explicit file-extension allowlist
- Unique filename generation
- Protection against accidental file overwriting
- Validated administrative upload and deletion actions
- Restricted access to the document-storage directory
- Automatic removal of files that are no longer referenced
- Clear upload validation and failure messages

CE Phoenix Product Documents does not modify CE Phoenix Cart core files.
