Efficient Task Management for Shop Owners: The New Admin Kanban Board

To help shop owners stay organized and focused, this addon updates Phoenix Cart to include a streamlined Kanban style task board in the admin panel.

This new feature allows shop owners to:

• Add new tasks with a title, description, and recurrence flag
• Visually manage progress by moving tasks between “To Do,” “In Progress,” and “Completed”
• Separate recurring tasks from one-time tasks to avoid manual re-entry
• Reset the board with a single click: recurring tasks return to “To Do,” non-recurring tasks are removed

The system is intentionally simple. It doesn’t require external integrations, plugins, or calendars. Tasks are edited and managed directly within the admin interface using a modal form. The same form supports both creating and updating tasks, reducing friction.

This approach keeps the shop owner focused on business-critical activities, like restocking inventory, checking order status, updating promotions, or preparing seasonal campaigns. Tasks remain visible and actionable, reducing the mental overhead of remembering what needs to be done.

The Kanban board is built with modern HTML and Bootstrap 5, without jQuery.
