Reinstall
I realize now I made an error with the initial installation. I changed the admin name before installing the add-ons, not realizing some of the addons had a Admin directory. Is it possible for me to backup and save the database, then reinstall the files and addons and then restore the database? Are there addons that make changes to the database? Thank you.

Any addons that have an admin folder, you should be able to just put those files in your own admin folder regardless of the folder name.

My admin name has been changed. When I add an addon I open the zipped folder and upload all the files all apart from the admin files into the root folder. I then open the admin folder in the download an upload those files to the correctly named folder.
If you open the addon files and upload them to the correct place in a backup copy on your computer you can move them to the correct folder, then use an FTP program to upload them to your sever. This will also give you a backup copy on your device should anything ever go wrong. I always work from that backup and save a copy before any changes are made.
